Using the right cleaner is so important!

You want to make sure you use “vinyl floor approved” cleaners that are pH-neutral:
• Gentle for your floors.
• Protects the vinyl finish from dulling and discoloration.
• Avoids sticky residue that attracts dirt.
• Streak-free, fast-drying and rinse free.

Always avoid harsh chemicals like bleach and ammonia.

The Right Cleaner

After carefully vacuuming all dust and dirt (DO NOT VACUUM WITH A BEATER BAR!) or sweeping with a soft bristle broom, you will want to clean your vinyl plank floor with a microfiber mop.

Just wet the pad, spray your pH-neutral cleaner on the floor, and mop.

Microfiber is a synthetic material that is made up of tiny fibers that are woven together to form an effective cleaning surface while being the most gentle on your floor. They are also eco-friendly. Just wash your used mop pad so its ready for your next cleaning.

The Perfect Mop

Heavy furniture can be incredibly tough on vinyl plank floors. Overtime, these damages -no matter how small- can diminish the beauty of your flooring.

Fortunately, using furniture pads is a great way to avoid this.

They attach to chair legs, and other furniture, to create a soft surface that glides over the floor rather than scratching it.

Furniture Pads

Area rugs, mats and runners not only provide a decorative aesthetic, they are crucial to providing protection for your vinyl plank floor. Placing them in high traffic areas and under furniture, saves the space from wear damage. It is imperative, however, that the proper padding is used underneath.

Rugs with rough, rubber or latex backings can discolor and scratch the wear layer of your flooring. The right padding will protect against this. It will also prevent sliding.
